Research Objectives

To apply image processing techniques for the development of robust image recognition algorithms

To establish machine vision–based inspection systems

To construct automated mechatronic systems by integrating PC-based platforms and machine vision technologies for automatic inspection applications
Requirements for Joining the Laboratory
Students interested in joining our lab should possess the following qualifications:

A strong interest in conducting research
-
Prior coursework in engineering mathematics and numerical analysis

Experience in programming, including C++, Visual Basic (VB), and MATLAB
Skills and Knowledge Acquired Through Laboratory Training
Students who complete training in our laboratory will be equipped with the following professional skills:

Proficiency in image processing and image recognition

Experience with computer application software, including MATLAB, Visual Basic (VB), Visual C++ (VC++), and C#

Expertise in PC-based signal acquisition and control technologies
